Meet James Stirland

Dr. James Stirland discovered his love for dentistry while attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and thanks to an extensive education, and many years of active duty with the U.S. Army, he has developed valuable dental skills to give his patients healthy smiles. Some of these skills include placing dental implants to restore missing teeth for function and aesthetics; periodontal surgeries to restore oral health in diseased tissue or as a necessary prep for other procedures; endodontic procedures; extensive surgical cases such as wisdom teeth removal, biopsies, and trauma; orthodontics; pedodontics; and overall comprehensive care.

After graduating, Dr. Stirland completed a 2-year residency in General Dentistry at Fort Hood, Texas with the U.S. Army. In 2017 he was assigned to the Last Frontier in Alaska where he expanded his scope of dentistry. He ran the Army’s dental clinic at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, where he was able to manage care for over 4000 soldiers and mentor multiple general dentists to pursue higher areas of interest.
