North Star Dentistry used modern practices and technology to make your treatment as fast and comfortable as possible.
One form of technology that has made our job and your experience so much easier is the digital x-ray.
In the past, x-rays had to be taken with film. This required precise placement, exposure to higher levels of x-radiation, and processing time for the development of the film. This is all dramatically lessened with digital machinery.
A special sensor is used instead of film. The sensor can recognize and process much lower radiation levels. If a shot needs to be re-taken, no time has been wasted in development—simply re-shoot it right there, in the moment.
Best of all, the digital sensor sends images immediately to the computer screen, allowing your dentist to see real-time shots of your mouth, and you to be there when it happens. Your dental process is more interactive and efficient than ever.
With an intraoral camera, every single surface of your teeth, gums, and jaws can be mapped, recorded, and zoomed in.
That’s not just useful for a diagnosis. These 3-dimensional maps of your mouth can be used to create molds for crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. They can be run through computer analyses. They can even be used by the dentist to double-check the quality of dental work right after it’s been done. Before you’re sent home, we check to make sure your service was exactly right.
There is so much that we can offer you here at North Star Dentistry. Give us a call today to set up an appointment.
